Let me guess, they are making cursive mandatory, but do not have a touch typing course.

    Honestly I couldn’t agree more.

    I think cursive should become more of hobby. Touch typing is so much more important. Wasn’t taught in any of my schools.

    I learned touch typing myself and it completely changed my career trajectory and made me a better (digital) communicator/writer

      I'm even probably being a bit "boomer" with that suggestion. Kids could probably benefit from a quick course in swype typing when it comes to data entry productivity in the modern world. Which makes handwritten cursive even more absurd.

      I agree it's sort of a cool hobby though. I could see it having a few days dedicated to it in an art class, or maybe in an elective that covers typography.
